Current Tariff Environment: What You Need to Know
Tariffs remain a dynamic component of international trade, and Glassnow is committed to helping our customers stay informed and prepared. While we primarily source glass containers and packaging materials, recent developments in tariffs on metals, imported goods, and specific product categories are affecting global supply chains — including ours.

Glass Containers
At this time, there are no new U.S. tariffs specifically targeting imported glass containers. However, general shipping costs and inflationary pressures from adjacent tariff categories — including steel, aluminum, and fuel — continue to influence pricing for both imported and domestic materials.
China-Origin Goods
Imports from China are subject to a multi-layered tariff structure, with a cumulative impact of up to 55% on affected goods as of May 14, 2025. Although certain 90-day relief measures are currently in effect, the situation remains fluid. Renewed hikes are expected by mid-August unless further agreements are reached.
How This Impacts You
While Glassnow’s core product — glass — is not currently subject to direct tariff increases, indirect cost pressures persist. Categories such as metal components, raw materials, and international freight may experience pricing shifts that affect product costs, lead times, and availability for select SKUs.
